Here at c|net, at least, with several reasonably relevant articles … then we’ve got this gem over at ABCNews.com, Second Life Gets ‘Real’ at Conference, which is completely devoid of any mention of the education track (guess that doesn’t generate clicks or sell advertising) … Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over … anyone at MacArthur or the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation want to step in?
I like this quote from the ABC news article the best:
“For people who lack the social skills, good looks, and life of luxury they crave, Second Life is a way to satisfy their urges. And of course, if their urges are more illicit and best kept private, virtual worlds provide that outlet, too.”
Give me a break … no, better yet, give me several hours to write up some blog posts instead … man am I getting pissed.

p.s.: Here’s an article from ABC on the business implications of SL: Want to Make Money in Second Life? It’s Harder Than You Think. Way to stay positive! Not.
p.p.s.: If anyone finds coverage about the education implications of SL, particularly those dealing with investments made by foundations like MacArthur and RWJ, please comment or email me? Thanks!
p.p.p.s: Stan Travena found these articles … some of which I’ve got above but … no matter.
