Classroom Habitudes: Teaching 21st Century Learning Habits and Attitudes
Join us for a thought-provoking episode of ISTE Eduverse Talks where host Peggy Sheehy (SL: Maggie Marat) dives into the world of Habitudes with educator and author Angela Maiers (SL: Annie Viertz) who’s recent book “Habitudes in the Classroom” explores education based on teaching students the habits and attitudes they need for the 21st Century. Based on the idea that there is some basic unlearning we must do in everyday life, Angela will discuss the behaviors, habits and attitudes that will ensure the success of students both inside and outside of their classroom walls, and how educators need to put down their traditional teaching methods and help students invent, create, collaborate, and solve their own problems.

Kevin-
WOW! What an experience for me! Everyday I am amazed at how much there is to learn. We have an extraordinary capacity and opportunity to grow and learn everyday. This is the best gift we can give our students. When we can stand in front of them proud, confident, and relevant saying: “I tried something new, I was really really scared, BUT here’s what I discovered….
That is exhilarating. Thanks so much to Peggy, the entire Second Life crew, who were amazing and calm. A new world has opened up for me! WOOO HOOO!!!!!! (aka Annie Veirtz)

Angela!
You radiated confidence and energy the entire time! If you were nervous no one could have noticed. It was a fascinating discussion, your graphics were great, the audience was wonderful, and the SLCN.tv/Second Life production crew were at their unflappable best. Professionals all! Congrats again!
